Making a Purchase
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on ‘Checkout’ and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order. Delivery costs will be calculated at this point.
When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, if we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or if we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

Shipping & Handling
We send products out with either Royal Mail 1st Class or with our chosen next working day courier ( ordered before 12pm) in the UK mainland. Delivery charges apply and are calculated by the weight of the order at the checkout.
International Orders
Orders that are delivered outside of the UK maybe subject to import duty and tax when they reach their destination country. It is your responsibility to pay these charges to avoid delays of the delivery or in some cases, a total non-delivery and return of the parcel. The amount of duty and tax you may have to pay varies from country to country and by value of the goods so there is no way we are able to estimate this for you. Please tick this box to confirm you are aware of these costs and that you agree to pay them upon delivery of your goods. Failure to pay these charges upon arrival in the destination country may mean your parcel is not delivered and will be returned back to us. If this is the case, we will issue a refund back to you minus the cost of the initial shipping charge and any subsequent charges from the courier for returning the parcel back to us. If these charges are greater than the order value, no refund will be issued.
When ordering from us for overseas delivery, you will have to confirm you are aware of these charges at the checkout. By ticking and confirming, you are agreeing to the above.
Delivery Schedule
Delivery will be undertaken by either The Metal House themselves or one of its chosen carrier companies. You will then be required to sign for the delivery and confirm the condition of the item(s). Any damages must be reported to The Metal House within 24 hours of signing or receiving the product. It is important that once the goods have been delivered that you open the package and thoroughly check that the item is in perfect condition.
Back Orders
If your item is not in stock, it will go on back order. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.
Returns Policy
Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive.
All returns should be made within 30 days from date of order. Returned goods must be clean, unused, uncut and in ‘as new’ condition. Returns can be and will be refused if goods are returned in a non-resalable condition.
Your refund will be processed within 2 working days from point of delivery back to us. Refunds will be made minus the delivery cost to get the order to you.
