2mm Rubber Sound Deadening Material

A modern alternative to Bitumen products, our 2mm Rubber Sound Deadening Material is perfect for lining floors, doors, boots, wheel arches, bulkheads and any area of a vehicle susceptible to low and high frequency vibrations and noise. An ideal replacement for Classic and Vintage Cars.

Not to be confused with cheaper, foam based products available on the market! This is a professional product designed to last and be effective. Much like older Bitumen products.

Description

• 2mm, heavy duty thickness
• 1 metre wide, sold by the linear metre (orders over 1 metre length will be sent as a complete piece)
• Made from a high density rubber MLV compound with felt backing
• Stops both high and low frequency vibration and noise
• Can be moulded to shape when applied with gentle heat
• Easy to cut and shape using a knife, snips or heavy duty scissors
• Flame retardant
• Water resistant
• 3500 g/sm
• Stable between -20°C and +100°C
• Suitable for insulating and sound deadening
• Can be fixed in place with a high temp glue, OEM fixings points with star washers or heavy duty double sided tape
• The rear of the material is the felt side

This material is ideal for using alongside our Polyester fleece insulation or our foil faced insulation to create the perfect combination of insulation, vapour barrier and noise deadening for your campervan conversion.
